This is our youngest daughter April, and her husband Clint. They are missionaries in Germany. They have been there for 2 years and plan to continue their work with the Church for 2 more years. This is their story. While April was a student at OC, she went on the Germany Mission Campaign trips, starting the summer after her sophomore year. She just loved it! She enjoyed the country, the people and the work they got to do with the church there, and singing on campaign everywhere they went! The next year, June of 2002, she went again and she met Clint there. He just happened to be there visiting their mutual friends, Ed and Courtney, who are missionaries in Germany. After Clint got home from visiting Ed and Courtney he decided that he wanted to go on campaign with the group from OC the next summer. It was that campaign trip that April and Clint really got to know each other. From the time they got back from campaign, they were pretty much inseparable. April was already planning to go to Germany to work with the Church there, as a HIM Worker(Helper In Missions) after she graduated from college. And Clint decided that he wanted to do the same. Clint had graduated from OC in 2000 with a degree in Finance and Accounting. So, they began making plans to go on the campaign, in June of 2004, and then remain there when the campaign group went back to Oklahoma. On April's birthday, in April of 2004, Clint asked us for permission to propose to April while they were in Germany! Of course, our answer was "Yes". We liked Clint a lot and knew he would be a wonderful husband for our daughter. We knew that they were just perfect for each other! April graduated from OC, the end of April, with her degree in Music Education. Then they went on the Germany Mission Campaign the first of June and remained in Germany at the end of the campaign trip. So, after they had been in Germany for 7 months, at Christmas 2004, Clint popped the question. Her answer was an immediate "YES!" So, we began doing some long distance wedding planning. Then they came home from Germany in July 2005, for a month of making preparations for their wedding, and visiting family and friends, and were married on August 6, 2005! Then after their honeymoon to Hawaii, they returned to Germany! We miss them so much! They are now fixing to celebrate their first anniversary! Clint has been such a Blessing to April and to our family!
